Predigt The Miracle Is on Its Way | Dan Nüesch
Sonntag, 5. April 2026 Luke 24:1-9 Kernaussage Easter is not just about celebrating Jesus' resurrection on Sunday, but about learning to hold onto faith during the difficult 'Saturday' seasons of life—those times of confusion, pain, and waiting between loss and restoration. God is still present and working during these in-between seasons, and through prayer and anchoring ourselves in Jesus, we can navigate these times without losing hope or becoming bitter.
This is an Easter Sunday service from ICF Zurich English community, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The service features extended worship time with songs focused on the cross, resurrection, and the worthiness of Jesus. Pastor Dan Nüesch delivers the main message titled 'The Miracle Is on Its Way' (or 'Between Chaos and Hope'), addressing the emotional and spiritual struggle of living in the 'Saturday' between Good Friday's pain and Resurrection Sunday's hope. Dan speaks vulnerably about dealing with confusion, unanswered prayers, and the difficulty of waiting for God's promises to manifest. He emphasizes the power of persistent prayer, anchoring one's soul in Jesus during difficult seasons, and the importance of community. The service includes communion, an offering for ICF Cambodia's work with displaced families and children, testimonies of people coming to faith through ICF's outreach ministries, and a call for people to join small groups and connect deeper with the church community. Hauptthemen (5)
1. The Three Parts of Easter: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- • Good Friday represents pain and suffering when hope seems lost
- • Saturday represents the season of confusion, desperation, and not knowing what to do next
- • Resurrection Sunday represents breakthrough, miracles, and new beginnings
- • We often want to jump from Friday to Sunday, but must learn to navigate Saturday well
- • Saturday is when our convictions are tested and we're tempted to change course
2. Dealing with Saturday Seasons of Confusion
- • Saturday can feel like job crisis, relationship breakdown, addiction struggles, or health issues
- • People go through grief processes: denial, anger, bargaining/blaming, deep sorrow, and withdrawal
- • The danger is becoming bitter during Saturday, which makes it difficult to receive miracles on Sunday
- • In these seasons we question our faith, God's goodness, and whether promises are real
- • We must learn to keep our hearts pure during times of confusion and waiting
3. Prayer as the Key Tool During Saturday
- • Prayer is the one thing we can still do when we feel we've lost control
- • We should pray desperately and honestly, not just nice prayers
- • Jesus Himself often withdrew to lonely places to pray
- • If something is big enough to worry about, it's big enough to pray about
- • The Holy Spirit helps us pray when we don't know what to pray, even through wordless groans (speaking in tongues)
4. Three Pictures to Help in Prayer
- • The carpet: We see the messy underside, but God sees the beautiful pattern on top
- • The good father: Even imperfect earthly fathers give good gifts; how much more will our Heavenly Father give
- • The anchor: Jesus is our anchor for the soul, firm and secure, interceding for us in the most holy place
5. Holding onto Jesus as Our Hope
- • Jesus has already done more than we deserve by dying for our sins
- • Our hope extends beyond this earth into eternal life
- • Even if miracles don't happen on earth, Jesus paid the ultimate price for eternal salvation
- • We must hold onto Jesus through Saturday to be there when Sunday comes
- • God is working behind the scenes even when we can't see it
Biblische Grundlagen
Direkt zitiert
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed with lightning stood beside them. In their fright, the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here. He is risen. Remember what he told you while he was still with you in Galilee. The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of the sinners. Be crucified and on the third day he will be raised again. Then they remembered his words. When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the eleven and to all the others.
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul firm and secure it enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain where our forerunner Jesus has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.
In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness we do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Praktische Anwendung (5)
- 1 Make prayer your primary tool in seasons of confusion: When you feel like you've lost control and don't know what to do, pray—even if it's desperate, messy prayer. If it's big enough to worry about, it's big enough to pray about.
- 2 Use the Holy Spirit's gift of tongues when you don't know what to pray: When you have no words left and don't know what direction to pray, ask God for the gift of speaking in tongues so the Holy Spirit can intercede for you through wordless groans.
- 3 Keep your anchor fixed on Jesus, not your circumstances: Focus on what Jesus has already done—conquering death and securing your eternal hope—rather than only on whether your earthly situation is changing. This anchor keeps your soul steady in the storm.
- 4 Don't change your course or convictions during the desert season: In times of confusion, resist the temptation to abandon your values or wander in different directions. Stay faithful and trust that there is an end to the desert if you hold your course.
- 5 Join a small group for community support: Don't walk through difficult seasons alone. Connect with other believers in a small group where you can share, pray together, learn from one another, and receive support through life's challenges.
